Barcoding

When used to identify library materials and even borrowers, barcodes make it a breeze to perform all of the out-of-the-box operations that come with our Maxus Catalogue package. Barcodes are not limited to traditional library tasks. Maxus clients also use barcodes and DB/Text Works to achieve a range of tasks – even keeping track of furniture and other items used in display homes!

Using one of the barcode reading devices supplied by Maxus, you can zap these barcodes directly into your Maxus application's data entry or search screens, or batch load from a portable device.

Maxus and our barcode technology partner, ASP Microcomputers, have worked together to develop a programmable intrface which will allow any Inmagic textbase to communicate with RFID tagged items, enabling self-check library loans, stacktakes, etc.
