Email Archiving and Retrieval Appliance The Orca™ eMail Archiver email archive technology is specifically designed for the dynamic nature of email systems, which contain a combination of structured (i.e., metadata such as email headers) and unstructured (i.e., email text and attachments) data. Orca is a completely integrated hardware-software solution that captures all of an organisation’s email on a continuous basis, from a virtually unlimited number of mailboxes. It requires minimal integration time or expense and has extensive searching and reporting capabilities, including an Outlook plug-in. ...though email is a mission critical system, in our survey 60% of respondents said managing email was one of their top data management problems ... only 10% had successfully implemented email archiving. The technology allows an organisation to archive multiple email servers into a single email repository. Using a centralised archive for multiple servers enables de-duplication of email and attachments, delivering single instance storage. In addition, it provides a single place to capture all emails, conduct searches, enforce policies, and ensure proper disposition of email. |
