Version 3.3

Improved Serials functionality including:
  • Edit new serial record from Catalog edit screen

End-user features:
  • Searching and browsing the catalogue
    • search keyword, author, title and subject
    • browse the same using the Inmagic "index browse" technology
  • InfoCart feature allows an individual user to search, review results and select items of interest to be stored in their InfoCart for later retrieval and ordering or requesting. With the InfoCart you (and your end users) can:
    • Make a request to the library regarding a particular item without having to cut and paste information into a separate e-mail
    • Send information to a colleague in an email as text or with a link to a Genie report page
    • Download the information in .CSV (Comma-Separated Values) or .XML (eXtensible markup Language) files
    • Print Catalogue records
Administrator features:
  • Cataloguing - creating, editing and deleting catalogue records, also creating serials records related to a given catalogue record
  • Checking out and checking in library materials - including Waitlist alert capabilities
  • Creating, editing, and deleting borrower records
  • Loans management - tracking and querying loans information
  • Serials management that allows you to append volume and issue information to an expected, received, or skipped Serial issue
  • Send batch overdue loan notices using email
  • Vendor or supplier information is available through the Genie Web interface
