DB/Text^® Works and DB/Text Works for SQL

Version 13	Query logging: ability to collect a log of queries conducted in textbase/s, including the search string, number of records returned, time and date. Export secondary textbase fields. Fields from linked textbases can now be exported. New help format. DB/TextWorks online help is now using a WebHelp format which is compatible with the newer Microsoft operating systems. E-mail authentication. Can now specify a login name and password to pass to a mail server.	Run-time version. DB/SearchWorks Run-time has been updated to v13. Textbase design More fields appear on the screen where fields and their properties are designed. Longer recent-textbase list. The list of most recently opened textbases on the File menu can now contain up to 15 textbases.
Version 12	Enhanced batch modify to enable copying or moving contents of one field to another; and to make the same change to more than one field at a time. Importing now supports the option of updating multiple matching records. Option to update records when terms on a validation list are changed or deleted. Ability to choose preferred or related terms from a thesaurus when browsing.	Send Report as Mail now supports HTML format in the body.. Email reports sent to recipients identified in textbase records can now have all messages to a given recipient grouped into one email message. The option to send them individually is still supported. Full path of textbases on the recent file list appears in the status bar. Online help now includes topics specific to DB/Text Works for SQL (formerly known as content Server)
Version 11	Vista compatibility. File checker: similar to the existing link checker, but it will verify UNC referenced network files as well as URLs. Undo command in form designer: an undo action command for specific action types.	HTML report preview: from within the form designer, this feature shows what a report will look like when displayed in the web environment using Web Publisher Pro. Ability to select the form used in the Edit Secondary Record window.
Version 10	Ability to see paths of the EXE and INI files without opening a textbase. Toolbar button for the Browse Files command. Support for putting a PDF file name into an image field when extracting text on import.	List of public elements included in the Textbase Information listing. An Inmagic digital signature for increased security. Valid digital signatures.
Version 9	Support for PDF files as a standard image type has been added. GIF images can now be viewed and manipulated just like any other image format supported by DB/Text Works. Data entry for documents and images has been simplified: use Shift+F3 to browse and select a file name (similar to Windows Explorer). You now have an option to save forms, query screens, etc., as Public by default.	Installation has been simplified by providing the ability to run Setup Workstation using SMS (Systems Management Server). Batch Modify is made more powerful via the addition of the following: Support for special characters such as line breaks and the entry delimiter; The ability to add text to the beginning or end of an entry.
