About Maxus Maxus Australia provides information management software and consulting services to a wide range of organisations across Australia, in South East Asia, the South Pacific and elsewhere. Our consultants are the leaders in their field, with extensive information management and software experience, and specialise in programming, scripting, design, database set up and training. Established in 1975, Maxus Australia has a tradition of providing quality information management services to a broad range of clients across Australia. We introduced the Inmagic software system to Australia in 1984 and in the years since, our focus has been on the provision of software and services for computerised information management, focussing on the supply of the Inmagic® DB/Text® and Content Server software ranges, together with training, support and consultancy services. Based in Melbourne, Maxus Australia services clients nationally and has representatives in other states that provide local support.
Maxus Australia has consistently been one of Inmagic's major resellers.
OUR TEAM
Our qualified personnel have extensive information management and software expertise and more than 40 years of Inmagic software experience between them.
Norma Tovey, Managing Director of Maxus Australia, has qualifications including a Bachelor of Science, a Graduate Diploma in Librarianship and a computer background which includes programming skills. Norma is well known for her extensive experience in database design and implementation, both for desktop/networked PCs and for the Internet using TextWorks and WebPublisher PRO. Her programming skills are employed in customised data conversion and creation of scripts for TextWorks. Barbara Kowalski, Client Support Consultant, has qualifications including a Bachelor of Arts in History and Graduate Diplomas in Librarianship and Business Management. Barbara has strong practical experience in database design, implementation and development with specialist expertise in records management, museum and archive applications. She has also worked with HTML and web page and intranet design. Pam Millist, Client Support Consultant, has a Diploma of Librarianship and Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Sociology. Pam has a wide range of experience in information and knowledge management including database design and development; with particular emphasis on information retrieval and thesaurus design and implementation. She has been working with DB/Textworks for over 20 years and more recently with WebPublisher Pro in conjunction with HTML and intranet design. Pam has been employed in a range of corporate organisations including telecommunications, finance, IT consulting and the law. Jan Turner, Reception, Despatch and Office Manager, started working for the company one day a week in the period when library cataloguing was done on cards. Jan used to type the duplicate cards at various libraries around Melbourne. These days she is your first contact when you telephone Maxus and is happy to help with your enquiries about products, policies and prices.
