How to Customise Toolbars

Introduction

Is there a DB/TextWorks^® or CS/TextWorks function you perform frequently and would like to execute by clicking an icon on a toolbar? The Customize Toolbar option in the Tools menu is the answer.

How to use the Customize Toolbar option

To add an icon to a toolbar, for example, to add Duplicate Record to the Edit toolbar

· First, click on the Edit window. This makes the window active, so it will be selected in the Toolbars list.
· Choose Customize Toolbar from the Tools Menu.
· In the Available toolbar buttons: area, scroll through the list of available actions until Duplicate Record appears
· Highlight Duplicate Record then click Add→

Now use the Move Up or Move Down buttons to arrange the icons in the order you would like. Note that you can also add Separator markers to ensure that your toolbar icons are split into meaningful groups.

Click Close when you have finished.
