Maximising Your Impact

“If you build it, will they come?”

After all of your effort to design and deliver an application with maximum value for your end users, you want to maximise usage… maximise the value for your organisation… and thus maximise your own impact.

When you are introducing your searchable online directory or distributed library database system, or are introducing a new Genie installation to your organisation — one of your main goals is to encourage adoption as quickly as possible. This means doing some internal marketing — you need to publicise it to your users to get everyone on board with the new system, and let them know the advantages you have made available.

In an effort to help Inmagic users to be more effective within their organisations, Inmagic has compiled a small kit of materials and suggestions to get you started. Maxus has taken those materials and altered them slightly so that the wording, spelling and content are geared to Australian preferences. If you have any further suggestions to add, or a good publicity campaign you've designed for your organisation (internal or external), we'd  love to hear about it to share with others!

Here are some ways that other Inmagic users have spread the word and prompted greater online library usage within their organisations.

Edit to suit the details of your own particular project, add your logo and specific information — this gives you a starting point of features and benefits, to use in publicising your online library within your organisation.

Download the logos to place within publicity materials or printed matter.
